Please Wear Blue on April 9

Maybe you have a blue dress, a blue tie, a blue suit? Wear anything blue for Wear Blue: Child Abuse is Preventable Day.

It’s an easy step to help us draw attention to the problem of child abuse. Did you know more than 2,000 kids in Hamilton County were found to be abused or neglected last year? And our hotline, 241-KIDS, took more than 65,000 calls last year.

The Wear Blue campaign takes place throughout the state of Ohio, and we are reaching out to many employers and organizations in the community to solicit their participation. We hope you will encourage all of your employees to wear blue on April 9 and help communicate the reasons behind the campaign.

Please visit and like our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/HCJFS, where we’ll post pictures of our supporters in their blue. Please feel free to post your own pictures as well and tag us in them. You can also go to http://www.hcjfs.hamilton-co.org/doaskdotellus/index.htm to learn more.

We also would like you and other key employees at the top of your organization to wear “Wear Blue: Child Abuse is Preventable” stickers on April 9. Please contact Jane Prendergast at prendj@jfs.hamilton-co.org or 946-2195 to let us know how many stickers you need.

We appreciate your help in drawing attention to this important problem. We hope to see you in blue on April 9!
