Catchy Video Deals with Food Assistance Fraud

Weir2010Our agency put together a creative little video to demonstrate several incidents that constitute fraud in the food assistance program. The 3-minute video will be used on social media and on the video monitors in our lobby to educate consumers about proper use of the Ohio Direction Card.

You can view the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0ayObNA5HQ. All of the actors are agency employees!

Although the overwhelming majority of the 133,000 recipients who receive food assistance in Hamilton County use their cards properly, fraud is obviously a concern we have over any program we shepherd. We want to be good stewards of our community’s tax dollars. Making this video will help communicate the message.

The state of Ohio helped pay for the video and may use it throughout the state to educate other residents about fraud.
