Hamilton County residents who receive public assistance from the Supplemental Nutrition and Assistance Program, the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families program or the federal Medicaid program, should not see changes in their assistance at least through the end of January. Federal funds for the program areas have been appropriated through January. Funds are also on hand to meet most obligations in February, although there may be reductions in some programs, if the shutdown continues. As federal authorities work through solutions to the budget impasse, JFS will communicate any effects on local consumers. Thank you for your patience.
