Kevin Finn believes homelessness is the most extreme form of poverty and he’s committed to preventing it. When he found out about HCJFS’ advisory board, the Job & Family Service Planning Committee, he was eager to be a part.

JFSPC is made up of community leaders with a stake in fighting poverty. The committee provides valuable external advice and guidance to JFS.

Finn graduated from St. Xavier High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from St. Louis University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Kentucky. He worked for HCJFS’ Children’s Services division for a couple years in the 1990s.

Since 2007, he has been president of Strategies to End Homelessness, Inc. The organization oversees homelessness prevention, shelter and housing services on behalf of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. The focus is on prevention.
