Food Benefits loaded Jan. 16 are for February

Hamilton County residents who received early issuance of their February food assistance (Supplemental Nutrition and Assistance Program) do not have to spend those benefits by Jan. 20. While the benefits had to be issued by that date, they do not have to be used by that date.

Please remember, however, that the February benefits do need to last until your normal load date in March. You will not receive another issuance in the month of February.

Other JFS programs — Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (also known as TANF), Medicaid and child care — are not impacted at this time.
