Help on wheels : Donated bikes being shared

IMAG0679HCJFS is still distributing more than 100 bikes donated by “The Bike Lady.”

Kate Koch of Columbus became the Bike Lady in 2008 after an impromptu effort to buy bikes for kids in foster care. She believes bikes offer exercise and mobility as well as great memories.

A non-profit was formed and the effort grew. According to the organization’s Web site, www.bikelady.org, 1,323 bikes were distributed to 20 Ohio counties in 2014.
