Ohio Diploma Option Workshop is April 4

The Southwest Ohio Region Workforce Investment Board, the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, and OhioMeansJobs Cincinnati-Hamilton County (OMJ) will host “Understanding Ohio’s High School Diploma Options”, from 8 to 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 4 at the OhioMeansJobs Cincinnati-Hamilton County site. OMJ is located at 1916 Central Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45214 (sign-In, coffee & bagels at 7:45 AM). To R.S.V.P, please send an email to: busemk@jfs.hamilton-co.org.

The presentation will offer employers new tools to:

• Update their recruitment, hiring and personnel policies in order to be inclusive of new State of Ohio-approved graduation options;

• Learn about all the options and what makes each one different and potentially more relevant for their company;

• Engage with high schools to connect with juniors and seniors as they make plans for their careers and life after graduation;

• Learn what you need to know to improve morale and encourage your workforce to pursue alternatives and credentials that might not have been available when they were in high school.
