It’s not uncommon to meet someone here who has worked for HCJFS for 20 years, 25 years, 30 years. In fact, we have 30 employees who have worked here more than three decades each.
In a time when people don’t stay in jobs as much for pensions and retirement, what makes our folks stay? What is it about JFS that keeps them coming in each day? That’s what we’re going to find out.

How long have you worked here? 25 years as of Oct. 6.
Why do you stay? I initially came (and stayed) for the growth opportunities that JFS has to offer and I have taken advantage of those, having worked in five different positions under numerous managers. The work is rewarding and hard at times, but having great co-workers who have become great friends along with awesome managers – now that’s what has kept me here.
Fun fact: My co-worker/friend Lisa Pitchford from APS, played match maker and introduced me to my husband. He works with her husband.
