Summer Job Fair Scheduled for Friday

Several local employers hope to find their next batch of employees at this Friday’s “Time to Shine” summer job fair.

The job fair, sponsored by Community Link, is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. June 12 at Hamilton County Job and Family Services, 222 E. Central Parkway. It will be on the 6th floor in rooms 6SE401 and 6SE601. Participating employers include: the OhioMeansJobs Center, Interim Health Care, Horizon Health Care, SMX, Eastern Personnel Services, First Student and many others.

This job fair is open to all members of the community. Those looking for work are encouraged to dress professionally and bring resumes. No children are permitted at the event.

Community Link is a successful 16-year collaboration Hamilton County Job and Family Services formed with a variety of area vocational and social services to provide Ohio Works First recipients with assistance moving into work and self-sufficiency. Community Link staff served 7,665 Ohio Works First consumers in 2014 with:

  • Barrier screening and removal
  • Service coordination
  • Vocational assessment/assignment
  • Worksite coordination
  • Consumer participation tracking
