After a lot of thought and planning, we are pleased to present the new hcjfs.org, which we hope will provide you with a much improved user experience. The new site is focused on making it as easy as possible to get the information you need.
One of the biggest improvements is the addition of our new mobile site. Before the launch of our new site, 30 percent of the traffic on our site was through a mobile phone and another 8 percent happened via a tablet, leaving only 62 percent of people using a desktop. Those people using a mobile phone or tablet will now have access to all the same features as a desktop user, making it easier than ever to communicate with us.
In addition, we’ve made it easier to find the information you are looking for. On the desktop version, many of our most popular pages and most commonly used features are accessible directly from the homepage, saving you from clicking through the site to look for the features you need. On both the mobile and desktop versions, our information is also divided by service area, so all the information is in one place. And if you know what form you are looking for, the forms page is searchable by both name or number.
We have also made the content more robust. For instance, when you submit a request to make a change to your case, you will also receive follow-up instructions about what to do next. And while we have kept the “Director’s Blog” – which features posts from Director Moira Weir – we will also add general news and information designed to keep you in the loop.
Overall, our main hope is that you will find the new site much more user friendly. Take some time to get to know the site, and then consider telling us what you think! Comments can be submitted via our website feedback form to help us improve even further.
