The annual
Cincinnati veterans hiring
event, hosted by Ohio Department of Job and Family Services’
(ODJFS) Veterans Program, will be held for the first time at the SuperJobs Center.
It will take place on Thursday, April 4
and is open to veterans from 9:30 a.m. to noon and the public
from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
There will be 28 employers at the event, all of which have
current openings. A wide variety of positions will be available, from warehouse to
high-tech jobs.
“There is
an opportunity for everyone who walks through the door,” Darryl Gaither,
an ODJFS Veterans Program representative, said.
In addition, SuperJobs computers
will be available to applicants to fill out online applications
at the event.
The ODJFS
Veterans Program has been hosting an annual veterans-only hiring
event in Cincinnati for the past 13 years. Because the Veterans
Program partners with SuperJobs, they decided to hold the event
at the SuperJobs Center this year.
“We thought it
would be good for both programs,” Gaither said.
Another change
from previous years is that the event is open to the public, not
just veterans. Gaither said that the Veterans Program would
“love to do this every year."
Dress
professionally, have copies of your resume, and join the
Veterans Program at the SuperJobs Center on April 4th for this
unique hiring event.
