Honoring our female leaders for Women’s History Month

A few weeks ago in this space I told you about all our Black History Month content and how we are sending daily emails to staff, highlighting Black leaders, entertainers and business people nationally and locally.

When March begins next week, we’ll launch our Women’s History Month content. This time, the staff committee planning how we commemorate the month decided to focus on JFS employees, women who work for the agency who are leaders or emerging leaders.

Women like Talia Bryan, the director of our Office of Client Rights. Her staff asked that she be highlighted for how she leads by example, models the importance of work/life balance and never fails to offer her staff enrichment opportunities.

Also Nina Lewis. She has dedicated her career to being a leader in the social work field and earned a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Social Work. She has years of experience in behavioral health and leads our efforts to find children and families better care as we increasingly see more of them with greater mental health needs.

We’ll be sharing these internally and on our agency social media pages to brag a bit about the extraordinary women we have leading this agency into the future.
