Since Friday started Women’s History Month, I want to mention all the women who help keep JFS and Hamilton County running smoothly every single day.
Five out of seven members of our JFS executive team are women. Almost 80 percent of our 800+ workforce is female. Of course, all three Hamilton County commissioners are women.
Our 4Action book club (an employee-driven initiative for diversity, equity and inclusion) is about to start reading Feminism is for Everybody by Bell Hooks. It’s a book about seeing feminism in a new light and realizing it touches all of our lives.
We have a lot of great female executives, supervisors, leaders and emerging leaders at JFS and Hamilton County. I welcome and value their input, ideas and enthusiasm for serving this community.
